LCMS Rural & Small Town Mission will host a free webinar on “Dealing with Addictions in Rural and Small-town Areas” from 1–2 p.m. Central time on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019.

The presenter will be the Rev. Gary Griffin, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Mo. The webinar will focus on questions such as:

  • Why would a pastor direct the addicted to non-religious organizations when he has been given the Gospel ministry to heal and save souls through the Gospel?
  • Why don’t the addicted turn to the Church when the Church has the power of the Gospel to heal and save?
  • How do you turn a wandering Christian lost in an addiction?
  • What is the role of the Body of Christ in difficult ministries such as addictions?
